bamboo island

Had some really good food for breakfast/lunch/dinner. I say all three of thse meals in one breath because I only really ate one meal today. It was Auntie Leony's and Uncle Jaime's 50th wedding anniversary, and they held it at Mickey's restaurant in Pleasanton, Bamboo Island. Had some fried breaded onions, spinach salad, calamari, prime rib, fish, roasted chicken, pork kabobs, lechon, and pineapples and grapes. Goddamn! Needless to say, I didn't require breakfast or dinner, so I had a little snak of white chocolate macadamia nut cookies with milk. I think I'll cook me some dinner at Parsons tonight. I saw some really good stuff from TJ's in the freezer. EF also bought some Niman Ranch bacon, which is da shitz.

Slept for ~3 hours. 181 lbs.

Comments:
the food was really good at BI, but it seemed a little different from when I ate there before. it was a nice party though!

Busy week....

Couldn't even blog in my diet/exercise or projects/activities blogs. Well, let's see if I can remember what I ate this week.

Monday night - made dinner for Jo, Ac, and me. Roasted Garlic Butter Chicken w/ Broccolini

breakfast in the mornings - nothing or kashi puffed rice w/ milk. One time, Ma's leftover mushroom pork w/ brown rice.

lunch - Once, the Pho place on Durant w/ tofu chicken curry with broccoli. Another with beef tripe, tendon, and flank with rice noodle soup. Had the same thing, but much better, at the Pho place in Concord off Willow Pass Rd. Also had leftover tofu chicken curry w/ broccoli at aork one day.

dinner - lumpia shanghai with white rice once, and I can't remember the rest for some reason. I think I just ate whatever in the fridge or pantry.

Parsons - vegetarian pizza w/ zucchini and artichoke hearts, without the crust.

180 lbs.

No exercise, and played with the dogs once or twice. Bad Franny. I'm letting work take over my time and body.

Haven't cooked for a week

With Jo being in LV, I haven't cooked in a week. Which means I haven't washed dishes for a week! I've either been eating out, eating in, or eating stuff I don't have to cook. Just nuke. Don't get me wrong, I like to cook good food. But after a long, hard day, it's the last thing you wanna do. Huhuuh.....I said "hard."

For dinner last night, stopped by the taqueria and got some carne asada super nachos with guacamole, crema, and fresh salsa. Finished it for dinner tonight. Also had some coffee (Haagen Dazs) for dessert. For lunch today, had beef tripe, tendon, and flank pho soup at my favorite Vietnamese place in the Durant asian food court. Can only go there before 12 or else it gets full. Had my good ole' bianca mocha at Caffe Strada. Thank God I found parking. Gonna cook butter garlic chicken w/ veggies tonight for Jo and AC. They'll be famished from flying from LV.

Broke 170! 179 lbs.

I've got crabs

Had lunch today at Jo's Uncle and Aunt's 35th anniversary party. It was held at Cascades, a fufu place in Roseville, which is pretty much in the middle of buttfuck, Egypt. In other words, it's in the cuts. I had the crab cake, and Hugo had the burger. Lianne also had the crab cake, and Alex had the chicken pasta. I had both Jo's and mine tic tac box saying which guest had what meal, and we both picked the crab. I yelled out to the waitress, "I've got crabs" and held out my tic tac boxes. What a lame-ass I am. The waitress was pretty cute, too. I flirted with her a little bit throughout the lunch.

The crab cake was pretty good, though. Had some cake and a Hefeweizen. Slept in the car while Chris drove. Ate a bowl of coffee ice cream at work Friday night. Friday, for lunch, had a turkey burger w/o half the bun from the Vault in Berkeley with my boss and co-workers. It was dry this time around. The day before, had a carne asada burrito from Gordo's on College. The day before, had some barbecue chicken with green beans and rice. For dinner last night, ate at a Persian place in Palo Alto with Gilbs. I had a lamb/beef kabob. It was pretty good, but I don't usually like lamb. It tastes like someone infused bleach or a cleaning chemical in it.

Been doing well taking all of my pills. I've got to return to Clinical Monitoring Center on Monday morning to drop off the machine. The machine is fine, but I've been having a runny/stuffy nose, so it's hard to breathe through my nose exclusively.

thailand and china relations

Went to Strada and had my beautiful, wonderful, lovely bianca mocha. Heaven in a cup. Weant to the Asian Food Court on Durant and had some really good curry chicken broccoli tofu with white rice. Saved some for later. For dinner, Jo had a pankering for Bua Luang, so I went and got the Pra Lam Song and Pad Kra Paw. Pretty much means that I had brown rice, cabbage, green beans, peanut sauce, ground chicken, grilled chicken, and broccoli. Saved some for later.

For lunch today and combined the Thai and Chinese foods and had a really good lunch. Yummy! Gotta drink me a lot of water.

Turkey week

I had camp on Monday and Tuesday night, and the food was less than spectacular, as usual. I was running all day (ie. I had the runs all day). I would have rather shot down one of the wild turkeys I saw while I was jogging, and ate it raw, caveman style. It might have been better than the crap they food you at the Valley of the Moon camp.

The runs continued to my first day of work. How embarassing. Discovered The Vault on Adeline and had two great meals, a turkey burger and a turkey sandwich. What is up with these damn turkeys?

Worked a 15-hour shift at Parsons on Saturday. Thought I had turkey sausages for breakfast in the morning, but they were actually beef. Also made scrambled eggs and roasted red potatoes from TJ's. Had a TON of water, cuz it was hotter than a Moroccan's ballsack. Two mini-pizzas, a cup of double chocolate Double Rainbow ice cream, and a great burrito with ofcourse, ground turkey, sour cream, refried beans, spanish rice, tomatoes, and lettuce later, I was full.

Oh yeah, back on Gemfibrozil to lower my cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

181 lbs.
